SCHMOZ FILMS is a dedicated photographic film retail store based in Davao City, Philippines and an analogue photography hub for Davao and Mindanao. It was founded to make a variety of quality films stocks locally accessible to the photographers of the region who have for many years depended on onsite and online sellers outside of Davao and even overseas, thus incurring hefty shipping costs plus considerable waiting time. As film stocks remain sparse across Davao, in very limited quantities, and with little to no variety, Schmoz Films makes its bold act of love of stepping in to fill that market gap and serve the very community which inspired it. It will be a part of every local and visiting photographer's journey to discover and experiment with a variety of films stocks and experience Davao's vibrant photography scene.

Film rolls are just the physical products. More than just selling films, the Schmoz Brand is actually in the business of providing access, belonging, and identity－ access or entry into the art experience of shooting film by making a variety of quality film rolls available to everyone; community or belonging into a close-knit community of photographers through shared activities such as photowalks and exhibits; and culture or identity, or being to identify with The Film Flag as an icon and a symbol of our support for the wide resurgence of film photography and the global movement to keep film alive.

Film rolls are our product, but Schmoz is ultimately about access: distinctive, dependable film stocks made locally available, supported by sample photographs, practical education, and clear recommendations.

We bring photographers together through photowalks, exhibitions, collaborations, pop-ups, contests, awards, and activities that celebrate work from our region.

Schmoz is more than a film retailer. The orange TheFilmFlag represents the resurgence of film and a movement to keep analogue photography alive—expressed through photographs, film samples, educational content, photographer features, and community stories.
